Premier Trait

The entry point to the estate, and the one that tells you everything. Cabernet Franc off clay-sand over yellow tuffeau, worked with a draught horse under the rows, picked by hand and fermented on its own yeasts. Three to four weeks on skins, eight months in steel, nothing added and nothing taken away. Red fruit, a bit of chalk, and a finish that just asks for the next glass.
