Château Del Ranq

The cuvée that carries the house name, and lives up to it. Syrah with a dash of Grenache from a markedly limestone-rich parcel.

Fermented in 1000-feuilles, a gentle ten-day maceration with one very light pump-over a day. Fourteen months of ageing: 70% in Alsatian foudre, the rest in demi-muid.

Lovely freshness and salinity from that limestone soil, with a tension on the palate that makes the wine strikingly drinkable.
